License Policy (digital shop)

Last updated

Version 1.1

This policy describes how you may use software and digital products bought through the CyberStudios Bazaar (games, tools, add-ons, and similar). The exact tier you bought is shown at checkout and in your account. If a product page says something stricter or looser, that text wins for that product.

1. General rules for all tiers

  • You receive a non-exclusive right to use the product—you do not own the underlying copyright.
  • Licences are for you unless we sold a multi-seat pack. You may not rent, sell, or sublicense the product except where the law says you can.
  • Do not crack, circumvent DRM or licence checks, or share download links or keys publicly.
  • Updates and support depend on what we promise on the product page.

2. Personal licence

Who it is for: individuals using the product for themselves, their household, or non-paid hobbies.

You may: install and run the product on devices you personally use; make a reasonable backup copy for your own recovery; stream or record your own gameplay for non-commercial channels unless the product forbids it in writing.

You may not: use the product as the backbone of a paid service for others; install it on a server for many simultaneous unrelated users; merge it into a product you sell; or use it inside a company except for personal evaluation unless we explicitly sold you a commercial tier.

3. Commercial licence

Who it is for: businesses, teams, or creators who need paid or public-facing use beyond a personal licence.

You may: use the product inside your organisation for the number of seats or revenue band stated at purchase; use it in client work only if the product page or written addendum explicitly allows “client project” use; show it in demos or portfolios in a normal way.

You may not: exceed the seat count or revenue cap you bought; white-label our product and pass it off as entirely your own IP; or strip branding where the licence requires attribution.

4. Subscription licence (monthly or annual)

What it covers: access to software, content, or online features for as long as your subscription stays active and paid.

While active: you get the features listed for your plan for the current billing period.

If you cancel or payment fails: access ends when the paid period ends (or sooner if we must suspend for abuse or fraud). You must stop using subscription-only features after that. We do not promise you can export everything forever—check each product’s FAQ.

Billing: monthly and annual cycles follow what you chose at checkout; price changes take effect only after notice as described in our Returns & Refund Policy and checkout screens.

5. What is never allowed (any tier)

  • Reverse engineering or decompiling except where local law explicitly allows it for interoperability.
  • Using our assets or code to train a competing model or product without permission.
  • Anything that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy when the product touches our servers.

6. Questions

Email [email protected] or open a support ticket from your account.

This policy governs software/digital licensing only and works alongside product page terms, checkout terms, and mandatory South African consumer law.
